MTI is celebrating 20 years of business. In September 1991, MTI was incorporated. Since then, our clientes from industry, academia, and government world-wide have challenged us with a plethora of fuel, ash deposits, slag, fly ash, and you-name-it samples. Read more.
Services
Our services are used to diagnose ash-related problems and to provide predictive methods to match operations, design, and fuel quality. We also provide high-magnification imaging and chemical analysis on a wide range of materials.
Methods
MTI uses advanced methods, such as computer-controlled scanning electron microscopy, to provide quantitative information on the ash-forming components of coal and to determine and predict the effects of ash on combustion and environmental performance.
Technology
Computer-controlled scanning electron microscopy is one of the most useful and powerful tools for predicting fuel behavior and diagnosing ash-deposition problems. In addition, we use advanced computer applications to create predictive indices and models of fly-ash characteristics, ash-deposition properties, slag-flow behavior, and more.
